Project 12 · Evolving studio project
Moonlight Ruin. A world built through questions.
How can a world communicate meaning before narrative begins?
Originally inspired by Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, Moonlight Ruin has evolved into an ongoing exploration of how architecture, light, landscape and atmosphere can communicate meaning before narrative begins.
Set within the ruins of a distant future Earth, the project imagines a world where civilisation has long disappeared and nature has quietly reclaimed what remains.
Rather than explaining this world through dialogue or conventional storytelling, it is built through visual language — using scale, composition, material, rhythm and light to create an emotional experience that invites interpretation.
Moonlight Ruin is built through questions rather than answers.
Current field · Visual language
The world begins as a relationship between four conditions.
Scale, composition, material and rhythm operate as narrative before the story is defined.
Living project
Published before it is finished.
Moonlight Ruin is intentionally presented as an evolving project rather than a finished portfolio piece.
As new chapters, visual studies and written reflections are completed, they will be added here — allowing the work to grow as an open exploration of worldbuilding, visual language and conceptual design.
More than a single outcome, it is a public record of an evolving TCTS approach to shaping cinematic worlds.
